A large-scale Russian drone and missile attack has damaged power facilities in eight Ukrainian regions, causing blackouts and forcing nuclear power plants to cut output, officials have said.
Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector and infrastructure in recent weeks, targeting power stations and railway hubs as winter deepens and the war approaches its fourth anniversary.

LLAW’s Thoughts & Concerns about Todays’ Nuclear World . . .
This Russian attack on multiple Ukraine nuclear power plants and a Ukraine railroad station represent precisely what my “Thought and Concerns” that I had posted just yesterday. Now, suddenly, we see the International Atomic Energy Agency (AIEA) calling for reducing the number of nuclear power plants and the very real necessity, which strikingly explains why we are wrong to build more nuclear power facilities when we should be avoiding them like they are, at least to my decades-old educated mind, the “most death-sentencing plague in human history” — next to nuclear war, of course. But, as anyone can see, nuclear powers plants have become a significant part of nuclear war even before outright nuclear war has begun . . .
The problem is that there are hundreds too many already — although just one is too many — and more to come unless we, as a part of a collective educated world of peaceful and conscientious life-caring human beings come together and somehow put a stop to it all now and for eternity, which will be extremely limited if we don’t. . ~llaw
