“End Nuclear Insanity Before Nuclear Insanity Ends Humanity”

LLAW’s Nuclear World News’ Image and/or Story for Today . . .
Following is an extremely timely and important article from the “Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists” as it applies to “All Things Nuclear” . . .

Finally, resilience will require cultivating a cultural shift among decision makers themselves. In an era when time pressure and algorithmic feeds shape perceptions, restraint must become a deliberate practice. Decision makers should learn to pause and verify rather than react, and to question both what they see and how they see it. Misperceptions today are not just the result of ignorance: They are the product of an environment designed to reward speed over reflection. Preventing catastrophe in the nuclear age of information will depend less on smarter machines than on wiser humans.

LLAW’s Thoughts & Concerns about Today’s Nuclear World and beyond . . .
The above introduction and link to this once-in-a-lifetime article that the entire human population should read and absorb comes from what I consider a near-genius report with brilliant observations of what we are facing from our global “nuclear worlds”, written by Héloïse Fayet, a research fellow at the French Institute of International Relations’ Security Studies Center, and head of the Deterrence and and Proliferation research program. Her work focuses on nuclear proliferation in the Middle East, the impact of emerging technologies on strategic risk reduction and strategic stability, and Nuclear Weapons States’ doctrines. She also writes on strategic competition in the Middle East and strategic foresight methods. Fayet worked as a Middle East analyst at the French Ministry of Armed Forces, and at the French National Cybersecurity Agency.
In other words, she knows what she is talking about, and what she discusses here are actually global in their content and context — including the USA, Russia, and China — and the images add so much, even with a bit of an occasional smile to soften the lecture . . .~llaw
