“End Nuclear Insanity Before Nuclear Insanity Ends Humanity” ~llaw

On My Mind Today:

Nuclear waste and what to do about it, how to control it, and properly dispose of it must be demanded in the United States and world-wide before any further current production or future nuclear energy facilities are allowed to produce electricity, including present day and all nuclear reactors of all shapes and sizes are evaluated and/or designed and approved to operate or to continue to operate. The nuclear industry and weak federal and international regulatory laws, procedures, and compliance requirements have long been neither created nor enforced by regulations.

Most nuclear waste is “stored” at the nuclear reactor sites supervised by the operators who produce the waste because they have no other place to store it — partly because they do not recycle the radioactive waste during the nuclear energy process because it is considered too expensive to do so. So, once again, money is the “root of all evil”.

Just a simple diagram of the production cycle of uranium fuel and a couple of descriptive ugly images — whether doctored or not —tell us why . . . ~llaw
