LLAW’s Thoughts, Concerns, and Fears about Today’s Nuclear World and beyond . . .
Never — in my wildest dreams — did I ever think I would be writing anything supporting Elon Musk, but I must admit that I agree whole-heartedly with his Solar versus Nuclear power for solving most all human and even more of other life’s troublesome problems on planet Earth.
This solar-capture concept has always made so very much sense to me. There is the sun, up there taking care of planet Earth and the rest of our solar system as best it can, and overall doing its finest job of all on planet Earth. And it seems to me like we could quite easily harness some of that solar power to do some specified work on those areas where we need it most. And, maybe other than a sunburn or two or a nice tan, there is no threat to destroying all life on planet Earth with radiation and totally eradicating nuclear heat from nuclear bombs.
And just think of the savings from military costs of “nuclear deterrence” disappearing into scrap metal and the money and future financial savings with no fear of WWIII as we re-direct our lives to world peace and moving forward with the true Shangri -la that life here on Earth was meant to be.
I must admit that Mr. Musk may not be the most pleasant of us all, but he is extremely intelligent and really does understand more than the average “Joe” about space and what it has to offer us — including most importantly the blessings we already have but could add to immensely by improving what the sun — all by itself — already does for every living thing on planet Earth, and what it can do in the future for humanity! ~llaw
