DUBAI, Jan 2 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Friday to come to the aid of protesters in Iran if security forces fired on them, days into unrest that has left several dead and posed the biggest internal threat to Iranian authorities in years.
“We are locked and loaded and ready to go,” he said in a social media post. The United States bombed Iranian nuclear facilities in June, joining an Israeli air campaign that targeted Tehran’s atomic programme and military leadership.

LAW’s Thoughts, Concerns, and Fears about Today’s Nuclear World and beyond . . .
This Iranian citizen dispute is not Trump’s responsibility, and of course he is using the unrest and the killing of citizens as an excuse for war, which is clearly the stupidest idea I have ever heard of — except maybe a few others all fashioned by Donald Trump.
This is a protest against Iran’s economy problems. It is not about war, but Trump seems to think it is his business to go to war with Iran over whatever it is he can find as an excuse. He has been playing this game with Iran since March, just a short three months since he took office in his 2nd term.
And now, nearly a year later, it is time for him to go away, forcibly or not, before he has the chance to start a war that will inevitably — or at least likely — turn into a nuclear war with the fake “gold-hearted Trump” on one side and the “war-monger for no reason”, Vladimir Putin and their questionable allies like Israel and Iran.
Then, to edit the rest of the story, all hell breaks loose and for Trump and Putin, it’s mission accomplished . . . ~llaw
